Osprey Packs Xena 70 Backpack (Women’s) – 4028 cu in

4.5/5.0

I’ve been using this pack for almost 6 months now as my 2+ day overnight bag. This pack offers great functionality. The hip belt and bag height are fit for women, and the side pockets allow for easy snacking on the trail. The one feature I was looking for in an overnight pack was the side mesh pockets for water bottles, etc.

For 2 days, this pack can easily hold the luxury items you want like a fry pan or pillow. Even if you don’t fill up all the space, the upper hood easily adjusts and the pack hugs your bodily snug.

Pros:
– Number of pockets & ease of accessibility. SO many compartments. The two vertical pouches in the middle of the pack are extremely roomy. I can easily fit my entire first aid kit in one of the compartments, and all of my granola bars + snacks for 2 days in the other.
– Number of bungee tie-offs and external straps around the pack to hook carabiners/rope off of
– Sleeping mat or heavy jacket easily fits to the bottom hooks
– Light for its carrying capacity (4 lbs 13 oz)

Cons:
– Price point is a little above average at $300
– The sleeping bag compartment is quite small, so if your sleeping bag isn’t down, it might be tough to get it to fit. It’s not impossible though, it just takes a few extra minutes in the beginning of your day
