Little Si is a great ~5 mile hike about 1 hour from Seattle. It’s super accessible from the city, which means it gets really crowded on a weekends! Even on a rainy April day, we had to use the overflow parking lot.
The hike itself is a gentle ascent and overall an easy and relaxing way to spend your afternoon. The rain made the trails a little bit muddy, but it was still super management with sneakers (not hiking boots) on. The hike climbs slowly and weaves through the trails until you reach a split to the Boulder Garden Loop at 0.3 and 0.5 miles. We didn’t choose to take the loop this time around. At the summit, there is a nice overview out into the trees that makes a good break for snacks and water.
Overall even in the rain, it was a great day out on Little Si!
