Moccasins have been around for ages but the quality of moccasins can vary from brand to brand. To me, the best moccasins are comfortable and durable.

I was excited to find out that all of their shoes are made in their workshop in Philomath, Oregon. They make minimalist shoes and they have integrated flexibility and comfort into their moccasins. They have also been around since 1985!

When to wear them
I personally love wearing my Roo Moccasins after hiking. My feet are really sore and tired, and in the past I have changed into fuzzy socks for comfort. Since getting these moccasins, I’ve been putting these on immediately when I get home.
There is no better feeling than untying your shoelaces and taking off your sneakers or hiking boots after a long hike. The sheepskin inside the moccasins are so comfortable and they help my feet feel better immediately!
Honest review of the Roo Moccasin
There are a lot of things I look for when I buy new shoes but the 4 most important things to me for the best moccasins are comfort, durability, price and availability.
Comfort
I looked at the materials on the Roo Moccasin and immediately knew that these shoes would be SO comfortable. The main material on the moccasins is nubuck leather. Nubuck leather is super soft and comfortable. The insides are made with sheepskin and that is 100% the selling point for me!
Sheepskin is very comfortable and has a great quality of both it keeping your feet dry in the summer and cozy in the winter. My feet always get so cold when I’m inside the house and I love wearing the moccasins to keep my feet warm.
One additional feature is that these moccasins are completely foldable which I love! That makes the bottom of the shoe much more comfortable in my opinion because it’s not as rigid.
Durability
I have only had these moccasins for a few weeks, but they have had zero issues with them holding up. Looking at the materials, I am not worried about durability at all. Nubuck leather is tough and will hold up. Softstar even says that you can wear the shoe indoor or outdoor – although I prefer indoor.
Price
Considering that this is made in the USA, uses high quality material like nubuck leather and sheepskin, the Roo Moccasins sit at a great price point.
